Outfit Post: D and L when Denim meets Lace

His sweeties,

These pics below are pre-sickness outfit pictures. I have been not just overwhelmed with some life decisions to make but also the amount of pictures that turned out really good for this outfit. Hence I just kept postponing the actual post πŸ™‚ (not to forget the aforementioned sickness tehe) Come to think of it now this outfit would have been perfect for today! It was extremely hot here on the east coast. So weird that it is October and the temperature was in the high 80s. Global warming? Kind of freaks me out.

Anyway…I had been dying to wear a denim shirt and i thought what perfect way to pair it with than a very feminine lace mini skirt. To add a bit of fun I added a neutral colored statement necklace. An extremely bright wristlet and animal print flats. On this particular occasion we went back to one of our fave spots in the city to sit on top of the Federal Hill. Hubby and I always like to go there on a nice day and just talk about our future, about life in general and our goals. Something about being on top of that hill and looking down at the city line clears your head. We also ended up checking out this new Latin Fusion spot called Talara which I review on here pretty soon. The food was yummylicious. We need more of that down where I live because everything else gets so bland and boring.

Hubby was mildly surprised by my outfit choice and looked at me with proud eyes declaring that this has to be one of his fave outfits on me. Ah boys are so easy to please when they are in love with you πŸ™‚

And here is a picture of my somewhat matching photographer πŸ™‚

  1. Really love the combo! I wear my denim shirt with almost everything, but I looked everywhere this summer for a pair of lace shorts to wear it with and couldn’t find anything I liked. Never thought of going for a skirt!

Also I feel you on the weather… it’s the same here in the Midwest. I need fall already!

    • Thanks Julie! I am glad you and I are on the same page with Denim and Lace. Great minds think alike πŸ™‚ I was also unable to locate the perfect pair of lace shorts for myself *womp womp*. But the moment I saw this skirt I knew it belonged in my closet. I think it is now in the sale section of H&M, atleast I saw it there last time I was at the mall.

  2. Me again! I love this look too. Oh my, I’m having so much fun looking through your posts πŸ™‚ . I love the simplicity of the denim on lace. It’s simple, yet very chic! I notice that you have other posts with the same comfy looking leopard flats! I like that. A lot of fashion bloggers don’t repeat their shoes or purses. To me, it gives your blog a sense of truth, if you know what I mean. I have favorite shoes and bags that I wear with lots of different outfits. It’s nice to see you do the same and share it! Ok, I think I’m rambling. Ha-ha. I’m off to look at some more of your posts. πŸ™‚

    • I am glad you stopped by and read through my blog.I actually developed a severe foot issue 3.5 years ago and I guess its going to be a lifelong thing. I lived about 2 years in medicated shoes and finally can wear flats. My shoe collection started from scratch. I am so glad you said something positive about my repetition because trust me I am all about saving money and reusing what you can instead of constantly buying new things. Being on trend is important but one shouldn’t go broke over it. πŸ™‚
