Hi lovelies,
My birthday was last Monday and all I wanted to do was sit at home in my PJs and chill. I think I am finally at the point where I wanted to be overworked and happy! Yes you read it right…I hate being free. I recall when I was really busy last year, I complained all the time. I whined and whined but being extremely free this past summer made me realize you know what? I actually prefer being tired and knocked out at the end of the day. It helps me retain more energy and do alot more in my day then I can when I more time and less work.
I am a year older and definitely wiser than last year. Actually my birthday week proved to be the week of wisen-ing up(is that a word?). A week of self discovery. I have officially put in my 2 weeks at the second part time job I had started a month ago at the semi High End store. I might talk alittle about what I experienced there and sometimes how bad management can easily loose very good employees constantly. But I realized how my core values and principles need to align with the place I work with. I can not stand behind something I don’t believe in even a little bit. I also learnt how some people can be soooo stuck in their ways and guidelines provided by corporate offices(who ofcourse don’t even deal with public directly) that they won’t even see their own failing store and market. The looks of annoyed and frustrated customers just goes beyond their comprehension. And no matter how useful I proof by not following ALL the guidelines they still don’t realize that a good customer service is not a set of written down rules but ensuring that each customer walks out happy! It is not the path you take to get the customer to that point but the destination is what matters.
Anyway so for my Birthday we just went out for some Dinner at Eggspectation and dessert & coffee at La Madeline. Eggspectation never ceases to amaze me! I have not had anything over there that I haven’t been overjoyed about. And this latest dish on their Fall menu called Chop Steak is to die for! Hubby got Lobster Mac and Cheese which pretty delicious as well and as always I got the butternut Squash Soup. The soup is more like a dessert to me but its very warming in such cold weather. We also brought a slice of Apple Pie cheesecake which I devoured without even taking a picture but it is the best cheesecake I have ever had. The center is actually filled with applie pie filling. Sooo sooo good! I was too tired to take alot of pictures so we only have a few from that day. Enjoy!

They made me push this heavy trunk to get to my Dinner j/k :-p
